We understand the unique needs and desires of athletes of all levels and can help to improve your comfort and performance on the bike.

Jim Escobar raced his first triathlon and road race in 1987, and has been involved in the sport of cycling since covering the Tour de France 1990. Evolving from journalist to an event promoter, Jim worked on some of the biggest races here in the U.S. through the 1990’s (CoreStates U.S.P.R.O. Championships, First Union Grand Prix, Norwest Cup, Thrift Drug Classic, K Mart Classic of West Virginia). Remaining in the outdoor/bike industry with stints at Bicycle Guide, Outside and Backpacker magazines, provided Jim with the passion to help others to enjoy the outdoors.

Jim Escobar is a Certified Bike Fitter from Retül University, Guru Academy, F.I.S.T. Fitness Institute Slowtwitch, Certified USA Cycling Coach and Certified USA Triathlon Coach.

Service Description

Choose this fit if you already own a New or Used Road, TT or Tri Bike. Together we find the ideal position for an athlete on current bike with Retül MÜVE Adjustable Bike. Includes: 1. Fit assessment. 2. Adjust cleat placement for maximum power transfer. 3. Utilize Retül 3D software - both sides 4. Fit Athlete on the Rutül MÜVE Adjustable Bike to optimize position. 5. Test Athlete while pedaling under wattage. 6. Ability to adjust and test crank arm length. 7. Find optimum position on Adjustable Bike and transfer position to current bike. 8. Make basic adjustments to Athlete's bike (seat height/fore & aft, bar/pad height, stem change). Note: Complex changes are extra (lengthen/shorten cables, frozen parts, etc.). Proprietary front end parts (Felt, Specialized, Trek, etc) are not stocked and customer should bring them to the fit. Please contact us if you have questions. Additional Service: A detailed list of same style bikes (i.e., Road Bike Optimization will get a list of road bikes, Tri Bike Optimization will get a list of Tri bikes) that will best suit the Athlete. Available for an additional $75 fee.
