Jim Escobar raced his first triathlon and road race in 1987, and has been involved in the sport of cycling since covering the Tour de France 1990. Evolving from journalist to an event promoter, Jim worked on some of the biggest races here in the U.S. through the 1990’s (CoreStates U.S.P.R.O. Championships, First Union Grand Prix, Norwest Cup, Thrift Drug Classic, K Mart Classic of West Virginia). Remaining in the outdoor/bike industry with stints at Bicycle Guide, Outside and Backpacker magazines, provided Jim with the passion to help others to enjoy the outdoors.

The Fit Process
Retül technology provides ProTriFit with the most accurate bike fit data available and using the Retül Müve bike allows us to custom fit each bike according to all of the athlete's needs.
A bike fit using Retül technology includes the following steps:
1.
Fit assessment: test for flexibility, strength, asymmetries with regards to their implications regarding cycling.
2.
Initial 3D and video capture of athlete
to establish baseline.
3.
Transfer current bike measurements digitally
to Retül Müve adjustable bike
4.
Perform adjustments on Retül Müve adjustable bike with athlete pedaling under wattage
5.
Test numerous positions/changes with 3D capture
and rider input to validate changes
6.
Digitally measure Müve bike with ideal bike measurements for athlete
7.
Transfer ideal measurements
back to the athlete's bike
8.
Confirm rider position on their own bike after adjustments using the 3D technology.
